Time to make the … weekly menu ideas

Any one else remember that old Dunkin Donuts commercial where the baker sleepily says it’s “time to make the donuts” and meets himself coming and going at the door? Sometimes thinking of ideas for the family dinner feels like that old commercial. Especially if the rest of the family is young, vegetable averse and not very food-adventurous. Then it veers from a donut commercial into movies about Groundhog Day.

Monday – veggie fried rice and egg drop soup (meatless)

Tuesday – cheese ravioli in asiago sauce with green side salad

Wednesday – enchilasagne soup

Thursday  – Tai-ish noodles

Friday – say it with me…..fish fry! We’re going out to one, so while they can have their usual fish, I may indulge in something radical like crab cakes or shrimp or seafood bisque…oh, the bisque! YUM!
